"Do or do not. There is no Try.’’ – Yoda
Bryan is our new Business Development Executive at Insight Technologies. Please take the time to get to know him. He's a very interesting and impressive individual!
Bryan's words of wisdom say a lot about him. When you meet Bryan, you'll see why. Bryan is a "doer" – something we all want to be.
Was born in Kentucky,
Was raised in North Carolina,
Joined the U.S. Navy after high school and worked in Personnel at Naval Headquarters in Washington, D.C., and
Was an Air Traffic Controller at Patuxent River Naval Air Test Center in Maryland.
Pretty impressive, right? But there's more:
After his Honorable Discharge from the Navy, he was hired by the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration as an Air Traffic Controller at Hector International Airport in Fargo, N.D.
As you may or may not know, being an air traffic controller is well recognized as one of the most stressful jobs, requiring total concentration.
A few years later, Bryan decided to leave the day-to-day stress of air traffic control and test his talents in sales. (Now that does take courage!)
Jewelry at Helzberg Diamonds,
Water Treatment Systems door to door,
Cars @ Corwins Automotive,
Radio advertising at Q98 and KQWB AM, and
Print advertising for the Farm and Ranch Guide, Agweek Magazine and Agweek TV.
All of this tells you a lot about Bryan. He's a doer capable of dealing with highly stressful situations and is a resilient sales professional.
But Bryan isn't all work. He's been married to his wonderful wife Pam for 37 years (38 in November), and they have two grown children – Danny (23) and Ashley (20).
Bryan likes to volunteer in his spare time.
He's the Public Relations Chair for The Fargo Airshow Committee,
Past Chair of the Fargo/Moorhead Ambassadors,
Past Chair of the El Zagal Shrine Circus,
Keynote Speaker at (2) National Shrine Circus Conventions,
Past board member of the Fargo/Moorhead Community Theater,
And he played the role of Jed Clampett in the Beverly Hillbillies and Pa in Little House on the Prairie.
Bryan enjoys attending concerts and music festivals, singing Karaoke and hanging out with his friends. He also likes playing chess and can say the alphabet backwards as fast as he can say it forwards. (Now that is impressive!)
We asked Bryan some questions so you can really get to know him. Here's what he told us:
Bryan's other Words of Wisdom?
"Even small businesses need to make big technology decisions."
This is so true! We definitely hired the right guy!
Give Bryan a call sometime. He has a lot more to share about air traffic control, sales and technology, and no telling what else.
